A classic in yellow cedar
moored in Comox, Vancouver Island

British Columbia, Canada

Rare Opportunity ~ FOR SALE ~
First time on market since construction!

Thunder Child is a flush decked variant of the William Atkin classic double-ender, 'Clione' skillfully interpreted in yellow cedar and red oak. Robustly constructed and traditionally rigged, she is instantly recognized as the nautical aristocrat in any anchorage.

This is the first offering for sale since her original purchase from builder, Andrew V Okultich (Vancouver, BC) in 1974. She is a blue-water design with accommodations adapted for comfortable coastal cruising and live aboard potential. A rugged, sea kindly character vessel totally suited for North West Coast adventure.

Late summer 2009, Thunder Child was put on the ways at Cape Mudge and her bottom was cleaned, painted and inspected. A marine survey was completed for insurance purposes and is available upon request!

Winter 2010, both the main mast and the mizzen mast were taken down and were completely refurbished (along with standing rigging).
